Who We Are
DMC Sales is an independent manufacturer’s representative agency based in Plainfield, Illinois. For nearly 50 years, we’ve supported industrial customers throughout Northern Illinois and Northwest Indiana with reliable air movement and noise control solutions.
We represent trusted manufacturers - including Cincinnati Fan, Daniels Fans, IAP Fan, and VPC Fiberglass - to deliver durable, efficient equipment such as:

Our History
DMC Sales was founded in the mid-1970s by Dennis Coughlin, a respected industry veteran known for his deep technical knowledge and commitment to serving customers with integrity. Over the decades, he built a reputation for responsiveness, accuracy, and trusted relationships throughout the industrial and commercial ventilation markets.
In 2019, ownership of the company transitioned to Kevin Collins, who had long been involved with DMC Sales. Kevin chose to retain the DMC Sales name—both to honor the company’s legacy and its original founder, and as a personal tribute to his late father-in-law, a longtime sales rep in the packaging industry who coincidentally shared the same initials, D.M.C. The name now carries layered meaning and continues to represent continuity, trust, and professional pride.
Today, the company continues to grow while staying true to the values it was built on: technical precision, responsive service, and long-term relationships.
Our Leadership
Kevin Collins
President
Kevin brings over 30 years of experience in industrial engineering, product design, and technical sales. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Iowa State University.
He began his career working for two industrial dust collector manufacturers—Ultra Industries and CP Environmental—where he gained hands-on experience in CAD, quality control, and engineering management. Dust collection systems are among the most fan-intensive applications in industry, and that early experience gave Kevin a solid grasp of airflow fundamentals, system design, and equipment integration.
He later held leadership roles in purchasing, engineering, and sales at a clamp and hand tool manufacturer before joining DMC Sales full time and ultimately taking over ownership.
Josh Pocklington
Technical Sales Engineer
Josh holds a degree in Physics from Southern Illinois University – Carbondale and began his career in the ultrasonic imaging industry, supporting precision inspection systems used by manufacturers around the world. He later transitioned into a sales engineering role, where he demonstrated how technical equipment could integrate into customers’ manufacturing processes. His experience also includes prototyping and product development for nationally recognized brands.
In 2019, Josh joined DMC Sales, bringing both technical fluency and a customer-first mindset to his role. He supports customers with detailed fan selection, practical troubleshooting, and fast, knowledgeable service tailored to industrial needs.
